The SWiCH™ Epidermal Repair SystemTreatment Facts & Commonly Asked Questions
So, you are considering the SWiCH for regenerating the youthfulness of your skin. Excellent choice! With the SWiCH™ System, it is now possible to achieve repair of the skin without having to induce tissue damage. The body's repair systems, including that in the skin, are held in a ready state at all times. Understanding what is needed to trigger the system is the key to the efficacy of the SWiCH™ System. This is a much more natural skin care treatment than high strength chemical peeling.

Commonly asked questions:
Is the SWiCH™ safe to use during pregnancy?
We will have a list of ingredients for the SWiCH™. Please consult with your physician for his/her opinion on what is best for you and your child. While there are no known contra-indications per se, there is also no data on the effect of SWiCH™ on pregnancy. So a rule, we believe in erring on the safe side, and recommend avoiding as many chemicals as possible during pregnancy.
Can I receive the SWiCH™ treatment more frequently than one per month?
We do not recommend it. The skin needs time to process the changes and get ready for another treatment. In some instances, such as very oily, thick skin, the SWiCH™ could be given every three weeks.
Can I substitute the Epiprep for another means of exfoliating?
No. The Epiprep is not categorized as an exfoliant. It is "opening up" the skin to accept and take the SWiCH™ solution deep into the skin. The SWiCH™ System is sold as a complete set and needs to be used as directed.
Is it safe and/or beneficial to use SWiCH™ on the hands, arms, and décolleté?
Yes, the SWiCH™ works well on the hands and lower arms for age spots, discolorations, and general signs of aging. It is safe for use on the neck and décolleté, although it is generally more sensitive than the face and you may have more flaking and irritation. You will need extra home care products.
How long does this treatment last?
Each treatment Should last approximately 75-90 minutes.
Does the treatment burn? No, the treatment does not "burn", although you can feel the active ingredients on your skin. When the EpiPrep goes on after the initial cleansing of the face, yoyu should feel a ‘warming’ sensation and ‘tingling’, but nothing more.
It is mild and comfortable.
Do the treatments need to be stopped at some point?
As long as the skin continues to improve and it is in healthy condition, the SWiCH™ treatments may be continued indefinitely. All treatments at some point seem to reach a plateau. If you experiences a stand still in progress sometimes taking a break and continuing with a series of regular facials for a few months will allow the skin to renew. Going back to a series of SWiCH™ later will give noticeable results once again.
Many clients want to continue to use the Fraction V after the recommended 2-3 days post SWiCH™. Is this beneficial and should I buy extra Fraction V?
This is a common request and the Fraction V can be used as often as desired.
Do I have to stop all glycolic acid products before the SWiCH™?
Absolutely. We do not recommend mixing other product lines (especially glycolic acid)when the client is having SWiCH™ treatments.
Can I give microdermabrasion treatments between SWiCH™ treatments?
We do not recommend it. We highly recommend the Circadia Cocoa Enzyme treatment 5-10 days post SWiCH™. If you feel you need to give a microdermabrasion treatment between SWiCH™ treatments, wait 2 weeks after the SWiCH™ and only give one light pass of the microdermabrasion.
Can I combine LED treatments with the SWiCH™?
Yes, but not on the same day. Please consult your skin care professional for details.
Can I still get the SWiCH™ if I forget to stop using their Vitamin A cream before my scheduled appointment?
It is not advised. The skin will respond differently and it may cause unnecessary inflammation and irritation. It is much safer to reschedule the appointment for at least a week later and stop all vitamin A use.
Is it safe to give the SWiCH™ treatment to a client who shows areas of dry skin?
For best results from the SWiCH™, the skin should not have dry patches or areas that may be of concern to you. You may want to use the Circadia Moisture on Demand to replenish the dry areas.
Will the SWiCH™ help acne?
The SWiCH is an anti-aging treatment. There are better choices for acne such as the DermaFrost Salicylic Acid Peel, or an enzyme application with the Oxygen Rx Treatment. The skin type and grade of acne will determine what treatment is best for each individual condition.
Will the SWiCH™ help to rid the skin of brown spots?
Yes, it will. You should be given the White Veil Lightener two weeks prior to the first SWiCH™ treatment. It should be used daily along with the Vitamin C Reversal Serum and the Light Day Cream SPF 30 for the duration of the SWiCH™ treatments.
If I have a fading tan, but have not been out in the sun for several days can I still get a SWiCH™ Treatment? No, you may break out in little bumps immediately and get very irritated.
Even though your skin was not red or sun burned, it was damaged recently from the sun. A tan is the skin responding to injury. The skin was still attempting to heal itself from the sun and the SWiCH™ was simply too much- too soon. You need to allow the skin to heal, protect from the sun at all times, do not use anything aggressive at home, and return in 3- 4 weeks.
Can I have the SWiCH™ if I am a 28 year old with good skin but concerned about aging?
It is best to wait until you are at least 30-35 years old to begin the SWiCH™ treatments. You will benefit from home care products such as the Circadia Night Repair Cream, Vitamin C Reversal Serum, Light Day Cream SPF 15 or 30. The Alpha/Beta 30%/10% or the 35% Lactic acid peel could be given for professional facial treatments finishing with the Green or Red Tea Masks.
Can I have a "micro-current" treatments in combination with the SWiCH™?
The SWiCH™ has not been tested in combination with micro-current machines. We can not give you any specific guidelines or protocols. We do feel the skin needs a full month to renew and repair after a SWiCH treatment. If you feel you could give increased benefits from combining the two, wait at least 10-14 days after the SWiCH™ to have a micro-current treatment. Do not have a micro-current treatment immediately before or after a SWiCH™ treatment.
How do I decide which treatment to have; the Oxygen Rx or the SWiCH™?
The SWiCH™ is an anti-aging skin rejuvenation treatment. Anyone interested in maintaining youthful, healthy skin, repairing sun damage, improving fine lines and wrinkles, and improving the overall integrity of the skin is a good candidate for the SWiCH™.
The Oxygen Rx Treatment is excellent for treating acne, lightening and brightening the skin, and for treating rosacea. The Oxygen treatment can be given as frequently as once a week. The SWiCH treatments should be given once a month.
