B-LIFTx™ Peel

… allows you to peel away the signs of age.

B-LIFTx™ is a skin rejuvenation procedure with no down time. It brings about renewal by lifting the dead cells off the surface of your skin. This stimulates reproduction in the cells underneath. With B-LIFTx™ you can quickly achieve substantial improvement to superficial lines and your skin should feel softer and smoother, firmer, be better moisturized, and more evenly pigmented. Even acne scars and enlarged pores may become less noticeable.

What is B-LIFTx™?

B-LIFTx™ is a major scientific advance. It is a unique formulation containing salicylic acid, (known as beta hydroxyl acids), with patented MICROSPONGE technology. Unlike traditional chemical peels, B-LIFTx™ delivers outstanding results without risking injury to the skin. This is accomplished by lifting the dry, dead cells off the surface of the skin and stimulating the process of skin renewal.

How does B-LIFTx™ work?

B-LIFTx™ works in two ways. First, it dissolves the "glue" that binds together the dead cells on the surface of your skin. By dissolving this "glue," B-LIFTx™ is able to lift these dead cells from the surface to reveal the fresh cells underneath. The result is an immediate improvement in the smoothness and radiance of your skin.

ß-LIFTx® represents a proven treatment in epidermal skin peeling. The formulation of salicylic acid in ß-LIFTx® works in just 5 minutes, providing dependable results and patient satisfaction.

What will my skin feel like during and after my B-Liftx Peel®?

During your B-Liftx Peel®, you will experience a warm, tingling sensation. This procedure is quite tolerable and requires no pre-medication. After your peel, you may continue to experience mild tingling.

How long after Vitalize Peel may I return to normal activities?

You may return to normal activities immediately following your B-Liftx Peel®. You may experience mild redness or tingling following your peel. One to three days following your procedure you will notice mild to moderate peeling of the skin that can be concealed with the use of a moisturizer. This peeling is essentially unnoticeable by others.

How does B-LIFTx™ differ from chemical peels?

B-LIFTx™ has important advantages over traditional chemical peels. Unlike those other peels, B-LIFTx™ does not damage the integrity of the cells. This means that you can continue to have regularly scheduled B-LIFTx™ treatments for as long as you want. Over time, B-LIFTx™ will no only rejuvenate the appearance of your skin but will allow your skin to build and maintain a healthy barrier function against the environment -- one of the skin's primary roles.

B-LIFTx™ is also self limiting. This means that B-LIFTx™ automatically becomes inactive once it has delivered the necessary stimulus to bring about renewal. Unlike traditional peels, there is no risk of leaving B-LIFTx™ on your skin too long.

Can anyone be treated with B-LIFTx™?

B-LIFTx™ is suitable for patients of all skin types and can be helpful to any patient, no matter how severe their photodamage. A consultation with our dermatologist will help you to set realistic expectations regarding the improvements you can expect based on the current condition of your skin. For people with severe photodamage, B-LIFTx™ can be used as part of a more extensive program prescribed by our dermatologist.

Patients at greater risk include those who are allergic to aspirin, with active herpes simplex (cold sores) or any other viral infection, collagen disease or autoimmune disorder, Acutane users, patients who have had plastic surgery, a recent chemical peel, or recent radiation treatment.

What is the timing for additional B-LIFTx™ treatments and how many are needed to get a great result?

Additional B-LIFTx™ treatments can be scheduled anywhere from two to four weeks apart, with the average between two to three weeks. The timing of B-LIFTx™ treatments will depend on your skin type, the amount of discomfort you experience, how much your skin peels, and the expectations that you have. The number of treatments needed depends upon the problem being addressed but usually ranges from three to six treatments in a series. However, you may continue to have additional peels periodically to maintain your results. Results are generally seen after just one treatment, but a series of treatments is required for optimum results. Depending on the concern being addressed, our staff may recommend other treatments in conjunction with your B-LIFTx™, such as Laser Skin Tightening, which may be alternated with your peel if needed.

What improvements can I expect to see with B-LIFTx™?

You should discuss with our physician supervised staff the types of improvements you would like to achieve with B-LIFTx™ treatments, the areas where you would like to see change, the speed with which you expect to see results, and the amount of peeling that will be acceptable to you. Together, you and our staff will be able to set realistic expectations and design a B-LIFTx™ treatment regimen that is best suited to meeting your needs.

How long will my Vitalize Peel results last?

The changes that occur in the epidermis following a chemical peel last for years, and may even be permanent. In order to maintain your results, it is critical to avoid sun damage. In the case of acne scarring, it is necessary to control further acne breakouts in order to avoid further skin disruption. Hormonal changes, sun damage and further acne breakouts may cause new pigment changes or scarring that may require repeat treatments with B-LIFTx Peel treatments alone or in combination with other treatments and skincare products.
