Properties: MandeliClear Peel can be classified as a modified Jessner skin peel, containing 7% lactic, 7% salicylic and 7% resorcinol, in an ethanol base with quillaja bark & it also contains 9% mandelic acid, which is often derived from almond and wild cherry sources. Mandel is German for almond. This peel is safe, gentle, and well-tolerated by most skin types, including darker skin.

Indications for use:  

• Pigmentation issues for all skin types, including those associated with darker Fitzpatrick skin types.
• Effective skin peel for lightening pigmentation due to acne, melasma or photo-damaged skin.
• Anti-aging skin repair and renewal.

Contraindication for peels

• Allergies to resorcinol
• Retin-A® or Renova® within 4 weeks
• Allergies to aspirin or salicylates
• Laser resurfacing within last 6 months
• Accutane® within one year
• Hypersensitivity
• Dry and dehydrated skin or compromised lipid barrier
• Pregnancy or nursing
• Glycolic or salicylic acid within one week
• Herpetic breakout (cold sore)
• Open wounds or suspicious lesions

PRE-TREATMENT PROTOCOL- must be followed.

Three weeks prior to peel:

• Twice daily, morning and night, apply White Veil Lightener and Vitamin C Reversal Serum.
• Sun protection is extremely important and must be used at all times.
• Intellishade SPF 45 RECOMMENDED.

*Note: for Fitzpatrick types 4 and 5, stringent Pre-Treatment Protocol MUST be followed.

HOME CARE

• Don’t wash face the evening of the peel, simply splash face with lukewarm water.
• Cleanse with Lipid Replacing Cleanser, applying with fingertips, not cloth.
• Rinse and pat dry.
• Apply 2 drops of Vitamin C Reversal Serum, allow to dry.
• Apply Post Peel Lotion, allow to dry.
• Apply Light Day SPF 15 or 30.
• Advise clients to avoid direct sunlight for at least 24 hours

WHAT TO EXPECT

Mild to moderate peeling should be expected, but will not occur in all individuals.

Do not pick or pull off flaking skin.
