This salicylic acid chemical peel is a skin rejuvenation procedure with no down time. What will my skin feel like during and after my B-Liftx Skin Peel®?

During your B-Liftx Skin Peel®, you will experience a warm, tingling sensation. This procedure is quite tolerable and requires no pre-medication. After your peel, you may continue to experience mild tingling.

You may return to normal activities immediately following your B-Liftx facial Peel®. You may experience mild redness or tingling following your peel. One to three days following your procedure you will notice mild to moderate peeling of the skin that can be concealed with the use of a moisturizer. This peeling is essentially unnoticeable by others.

How does B-LIFTx™ differ from chemical peels?

B-LIFTx™ chemical peel has important advantages over traditional chemical peels. Unlike those other peels, B-LIFTx™ peel does not damage the integrity of the cells. This means that you can continue to have regularly scheduled B-LIFTx™ treatments for as long as you want. Over time, B-LIFTx™  facial peel will no only rejuvenate the appearance of your skin but will allow your skin to build and maintain a healthy barrier function against the environment—one of the skin’s primary roles.

B-LIFTx™ chemical peel is also self limiting. This means that B-LIFTx™ facial peel automatically becomes inactive once it has delivered the necessary stimulus to bring about renewal. Unlike traditional peels, there is no risk of leaving B-LIFTx™ on your skin too long.

What is the timing for additional B-LIFTx™ treatments and how many are needed to get a great result?

Additional B-LIFTx™ chemical peel treatments can be scheduled anywhere from two to four weeks apart, with the average between two to three weeks. The timing of B-LIFTx™ peel treatments will depend on your skin type, the amount of discomfort you experience, how much your skin peels, and the expectations that you have. The number of treatments needed depends upon the problem being addressed but usually ranges from four to six treatments in a series. However, you may continue to have additional peels periodically to maintain your results. Results are generally seen after just one treatment, but a series of treatments is required for optimum results. Depending on the concern being addressed, our staff may recommend other treatments in conjunction with your B-LIFTx™ peel, such as Laser Skin Tightening, or microdermabrasion, which may be alternated with your peel if needed.

How long will my Peel results last?

The changes that occur in the epidermis following a chemical peel last for years, and may even be permanent. In order to maintain your results, it is critical to avoid sun damage, & to commit to this & other routine skincare maintenance practices.

In the case of acne scarring, it is necessary to control further acne breakouts in order to avoid further skin disruption. Hormonal changes, sun damage and further acne breakouts may cause new pigment changes or scarring that may require repeat treatments with B-LIFTx Chemical Peel treatments alone or in combination with other treatments and professional skincare products.
